When is a job a good job??

Good job!

Have you ever stopped to think about what truly makes a good job?

·       Not the job title.

·       Not the LinkedIn description.

·       Not the shiny compensation package.

What I mean here is a good role — one that feels right, that makes sense for who you are today and who you want to become tomorrow.

When I look at a job, I always rate it across three things:

1. The People

  • Do you like them?

  • Do you trust them?

  • Do you respect them?

You spend 8–10 hours a day with these humans. If do not get along or respect them, the whole job feels a drudge.

2. The Money

Let’s be honest.

You wouldn’t do the job for free (well, I would definitely not!).

Money is not everything, but it is necessary — it means stability, recognition, energy. When compensation collapses, motivation follows not too far behind.

3. The Work Itself

  • Is it meaningful?

  • Are you learning?

  • Is it helping you grow for your next role?

A job should stretch you just enough to feel alive, not drained.

Most good roles tick at least two out of these three.

  • You might have great people + meaningful work, even if the pay isn’t perfect — you stay because you are building something for the future.

  • You might have interesting work + good pay, even with challenging people — you manage… for a while.

  • You might have great people + great pay, even if the work is not groundbreaking — it’s still a pretty good deal to spend time with amazing people.

The trouble begins when you have two and one of the pillars disappears:

  • If the money drops, motivation slips.

  • If the people become toxic, every hour stretches painfully.

  • If the work stops being meaningful, something in you quietly shuts down.

Then that’s usually the moment when your soul whispers:

It’s time to move on.

Not out of fear.

But out of respect — for your time, your energy, your wellbeing, and your future.

Horoscope

♈ Aries — People

Your fire rises when you’re surrounded by allies. This week, notice who energises you and who quietly drains you. Your next career move starts with choosing the right tribe.

♉ Taurus — Money

Stability matters, and you feel it in your body when something is off. Review your compensation, benefits, or boundaries — something wants to be valued properly.

♊ Gemini — Work Itself

Your mind needs stimulation. If your work has started to feel predictable, look for a challenge or a project that wakes your curiosity again.

♋ Cancer — People

Connection is your power source. Strengthen one relationship at work this week — a conversation might shift the way the whole job feels.

♌ Leo — Meaning

You need a role where your contribution is visible. If the spotlight has dimmed, ask yourself: which project would let your leadership shine again?

♍ Virgo — Learning

Your growth is your compass. If you’re no longer learning, you’re shrinking. Seek a skill, a course, or a responsibility that stretches you — just a bit.

♎ Libra — Balance

One of the three pillars is tipping. Bring harmony back: is it the people, the pay, or the purpose that’s off? Naming it is half the solution.

♏ Scorpio — Trust

You can handle intensity, but not betrayal. Pay attention to power dynamics and hidden tensions. If trust erodes, so does the job.

♐ Sagittarius — Purpose

You need meaning like oxygen. If your role feels too small, widen your horizon. A bigger mission is calling you.

♑ Capricorn — Money + Mastery

You want to build something solid. Check if your effort aligns with your rewards — and if your work is still the mountain you want to climb.

♒ Aquarius — People + Vision

You thrive in environments where ideas move fast. If the people around you resist change, your frustration is a signal — you’re outgrowing the room.

♓ Pisces — Emotional Meaning

You feel when a job aligns with your heart. If your intuition keeps whispering “this isn’t it,” listen. A more meaningful direction is on its way.
